Cornish Seafood FAQs

Are your crabs/lobsters cooked?

Our crabs and lobsters will arrive cooked and ready to be eaten. We do not send live crabs and lobsters out.

What are your order deadlines?

We have a 3-day lead time on our orders. All our seafood is bought and prepped specifically for each order so you can be sure it is completely fresh when it arrives with you.

How can I be sure my seafood will arrive chilled?

We use innovative and completely recyclable or reusable packaging designed to keep your order chilled and in prime condition for at least 48 hours after dispatch. Over 99.8% of all our orders arrive the next day less than 24 hours after we dispatch it.

How is the seafood packaged for delivery?

Our fish & seafood come vacuum-packed to ensure it remains in prime condition using the minimum amount of plastic packaging possible. Our delivery boxes use innovative paper-based insulated packaging combined with reusable ice blocks which will keep your seafood in top condition for a minimum of 48 hours.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver all over the UK from Wednesday through to Sunday each week. The Highlands and Islands can be delivered by arrangement as courier charges and delivery times vary. Please contact us on 01872 211533 to arrange delivery to these areas.

I am ordering for a special occasion. Can you guarantee my seafood will be with me on time?

We dispatch your order to arrive on the delivery day you selected on checkout. However, on rare occasions there can be delays on the courier network due to weather or other issues so we do not guarantee the delivery day and cannot provide refunds or replacements for delayed deliveries unless the quality of the product has been compromised.

You can upgrade your delivery on checkout to a before 12 delivery but if your order is for a special occasion we would recommend ordering your delivery to arrive the day before in case of any courier issues.

Can you tell me which boat and where my seafood was caught?

Our fishmongers buy fish from a variety of boats landing at harbours around the Cornish coast. All our seafood is labelled as caught in the North East Atlantic which is the legal area the UK waters are in. All our Cornish fish & seafood will carry this as their origin.
